Terms of Service

Last updated October 9, 2026.

The agreement

These terms are between you and Simpler Development LLC · 1425 South 12th St, Side 2, Philadelphia, PA 19147, USA · info@danielpcoyle.com (“TallYarn”, “we”). By creating an account or using TallYarn you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. You must be 16 or older.

Your account

You’re responsible for your account and for what’s done with it. Keep your password to yourself. One person per account.

Workspaces and co-writers

Stories live in workspaces. A workspace’s owner and admins decide who’s in it, what plan it’s on, and whether it’s deleted; members work on its stories. Leaving a workspace, or being removed, leaves your contributions in it for the others. If you co-write, agree between yourselves who owns what: TallYarn can’t settle that, and gives a workspace’s controls to its owner.

Your content

Your stories, scripts, bibles, pictures and comments are yours. You give us the licence we need to run the service: to store, display, transmit, back up and process your content, including with the providers named in the Privacy Policy, and for nothing else. We claim no rights in it, don’t use it to train anything, and don’t look at it except to run the service, answer your support request, or deal with an abuse or legal notice.

You’re responsible for having the rights to what you put in TallYarn, including scripts you import and material you base characters on.

AI apps and generated pictures

Connecting an AI app (such as Claude or ChatGPT) is optional. When you do, it acts in your workspaces as you, within the permissions you grant, and its changes are marked with its name (“via Claude”, “via ChatGPT”). You’re responsible for what you ask it to do, and your use of the app is under its maker’s terms.

Pictures are generated by OpenAI’s models from your bible and scenes. They’re yours to use as far as the law allows, but generated images may not be protected by copyright, and we make no promise that they’re original or free of others’ rights. Don’t generate pictures of real people without their consent, or anything that would break the law or OpenAI’s usage policies.

Acceptable use

Don’t use TallYarn to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, harass people, send spam, attack or probe the service, scrape it, or get around plan limits. We may remove content or suspend an account for this, and we’ll say why unless the law prevents it.

Plans and payment

Free and Room are described on the pricing page; the limits and features there are part of these terms. Free holds one story for one writer. A plan belongs to a workspace. Room is billed to the workspace through Stripe, monthly or yearly, for the number of writers in it: $9 a month or $90 a year covers up to 3 writers, and each writer beyond that is $3 a month or $30 a year, following writers as they join or leave. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Cancel at any time from Billing. Room continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for, then the workspace returns to Free and keeps everything in it.

Refunds. Cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a workspace and we refund it in full. Otherwise payments aren’t refunded, except where the law gives you more.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we’re required to collect. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; a change applies from your next renewal.

Third-party services

Spotify playback needs your own Spotify Premium account and follows Spotify’s terms. An AI app needs your own account with its maker. We’re not responsible for those services.

If you believe content on TallYarn infringes your copyright, use our Copyright and reports page. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time (Account → Delete account; the Privacy Policy says what that removes). We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or close the service with at least 30 days’ notice. Either way you can export your work first, unless the law stops us.

What we don’t promise

TallYarn is provided as it is. We work to keep it up and your work safe, but we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you should keep your own copies of scripts that matter. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights your local consumer law gives you.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Pennsylvania, USA, and disputes go to its courts, unless consumer law in your country gives you the right to use your local courts.

Changes and contact

We’ll post changes here with a new date and tell you about material ones at least 14 days before they take effect. Using TallYarn after that means you accept them. Contact: Simpler Development LLC · 1425 South 12th St, Side 2, Philadelphia, PA 19147, USA · info@danielpcoyle.com.
